I that's really a stupid idea. Well, I sure hope no one's going to try this anytime soon...
The most dangerous part of bipolar disorder isn't the depression, it's the mania. Because you feel like you can do anything. You are so confident in your abilities that you believe you can do whatever. Some people with severe cases actually jump off buildings (thinking they can fly), or buy so much things they put themselves in a shovel of debt becaus they can't control themselves. (Either way, it's bad.)
And it's hard to treat because you have to somehow treat both the unipolar depression and the mania.
Unipolar: "normal" depression
Mania: periods of "high" moods
The four-day weekend is almost over... It's all so depressing. Now I'm going back to my crazy hectic schedule... That's going to increase from last week because I'd be going back to cross country and adding tennis on Tuesdays! I don't know why I'm doing this my senior year... Why did no one tell me it was a stupid idea to have 3 AP classes in a row and do differential equations at night? D;
Oh, and for people that were confused in the last entry, it's Bush Senior. :) (Though can you say Senior when their middle names are different?) As they say, father like son...
Afghan Taliban vow to kidnap, kill more foreigners
I was just struck speechless. Don't these people who do things like this usually have a "beautified" explanations for what they do? These people are actually stating that killing people will change the world, so they will use it.
Kidnapping is not a very humane tool, the last time I checked, to get stuff you want.
"A senior Taliban commander said on condition of anonymity at the weekend that the deal also included a ransom payment of more than $20 million, which would be used to buy weapons and fund suicide attacks."
They kidnap people to get money off them so that they can go around killing more people, kidnapping more people, and killing even more people.
Why are they so fueled on hate? I couldn't even hurt someone without feeling extremely guilty... How can these people kill without a second thought? (Or maybe their second thoughts are pride for having done "good for the world.")
From popular demand, this is my other cat, Rinko. She's really not photogenic (that's why I don't post her pictures here often). She's about 5 or 6, and we found her at a post office last November, thin as a ... oh god, it was depressing. And she has thyroid problems and had a lot of other medical conditions as well as starvation. Someone declawed her, and because she was sick, threw her away to die out in the freezing cold. If we didn't get her when we did, she would definately have been dead the week after (it got REALLY cold the next week).

I've learned so much about mental illnesses from your blog...
The fact they they 'vow' to kill more people just drives me insane. What's the real point behind the killing? They say it's because of their religion, but I highly doubt that.
Also, I've seen a report on the news about suicide bombing and the meaning behind it and it shocked me. According to the news, they do it because they want to be martyrs and be remembered. Who is going to remember you when you're dead and rotting in the ground? If you want to remembered, do something useful with your life.
Our whole world is corrupted and you know there is nothing we could do about it sadly. I know it's a sad sad world out there but we live in it and sometimes fuel it as well.
Ah well I hope you enjoyed your long weekend and I am sure things will be fine with all your courses =) You seem to be a smart person and you'll be able to pull it off =)
you *are* the only stupid one to think that - at least i have confidence in you. :) heh, you'll be fine! if through some bizarre circumstances you don't do as great as you wanted to, just remember life goes on. besides, it's your senior year, make the best of it and enjoy it!
thanks for the lesson in your blog. it makes me want to do the schoolwork i've been avoiding tonight (you're inspirational ;)).
and i usually just refer to old bush as papa bush or something of the sort, if you're looking for alternatives to senior (which is correct, i believe). :)
(PS: i'm sorry, but i don't think i've ever commented on blogger before, but it's strange i'm logged in as "duck!" i mean, that makes sense; that sounds like me, but i don't know what information is attached to that name. this is connie from grabaduck.com)
Aww, poor kitty. ;_; At least you saved her! Good for you! And since she didn't have her claws, there would have been no way for her to hunt food. :/ Claws = important factor in hunting.
Anyway, Those talibans are smoking SOMETHING and I wanna know what it is because they just spout the craziest of crap and it's almost hard for me not to raise an eyebrow and say, "Oh yeah?" in a goading way. It's just too UGH. xD do not want.
Aw, cute cat! Too bad I'm allergic to them.
And dude, you talking about bipolar is a coincidence with my "bookpolar" day yesterday! ^_^
I hope you don't burn out with all that stuff you're doing and your schooling. X_X;; If there's one thing I learned over the years it that taking on too much stuff with most certainly lead to a breakdown. But I'm sure you will have better time management skills than most people. Just have time to relax once in a while!
